Toy Story Party May 2019 Poster for Smyths featuring woody and buzz lightyear

Smyths are having a party and we’re all invited!

This is a collaborative post with Smyths Toy Superstores.

Our little girl loves a visit to Smyths to browse the toys, mainly because she firmly believes that it’s never too early to start putting together your birthday and Christmas lists. And I have to admit, I don’t mind it either. A wander around Smyths is always a great way to kill a bit of time with children of a rainy afternoon. In many ways, a trip to Smyths to look at the toys is a bit like a trip to Pets at Home to look at the animals, but with much less risk. You see, if you succumb to pester power in Smyths, the worst that can happen is you end up buying a toy. Do the same at Pets at Home and you risk going home with a rabbit, a hutch and a couple of bags of small animal bedding.

But if, unlike me, you’re not comfortable with wandering round the aisles of a shop with absolutely no intention of buying anything, then why not choose to visit your local Smyths on Saturday 25th May, because from 9am, they’ll be throwing a free party! That’s right! Stores throughout the UK will be hosting a totally FREE Toy Story party, which will include giveaways of Toy Story 4 minis, stickers and posters (while stocks last), free face painting and DJs.

And as if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also get a chance to win a £50 Smyths voucher on the hour, every hour, from 9am to 1pm. You can find out more, including a list of participating stores here.

It sounds like it’ll be a great way to entertain kids for a morning over bank holiday weekend, so why not get yourself down to your local Smyths next Saturday for a couple of hours? You may end up being coaxed into buying a toy by one of your children, but at least you’re guaranteed to avoid bringing home a rabbit.
