Giveaway: Win a family ticket to Wallace & Gromit’s Musical Marvels 2019

This is a collaborative post with Carrot Productions

Can you believe that Wallace and Gromit have been going for 30 years?  I can’t tell you how old that makes me feel.

No, really I can’t. I’ll cry.

But anyway, enough of that.  Grab your crackers and cheese, because to celebrate those 30 cracking years, Wallace & Gromit’s Musical Marvels will be touring the UK this spring! As Wallace prepares to perform his masterpiece ‘My Concerto in Ee Lad’, assisted by none other than Gromit (who’s not in too bad a shape for a 30 year old dog), the audience will be treated to an interactive experience featuring specially created animations, with entertainment by presenter Matthew Sharp and the Picture House Orchestra.

And if that’s not enough to tempt you, the performance will be followed in the second half by a screening of the Academy Award® winning animation, ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers’, with live orchestral accompaniment.

As well as being great fun, Musical Marvels is a great introduction to classical music for young children, and a great way for adults to enjoy getting nostalgic while watching The Wrong Trousers (probably in a slightly different venue to their first viewing of the animation, 20-odd years ago..).

The 38 day tour of Musical Marvels will start with its premiere in Beaconsfield on 15th May 2019 and will then travel throughout the country, ending in Glasgow on 9th June 2019.  The venue for the Beaconsfield premiere of the show is right where it all started – the National Film and Television School. Any Wallace & Gromit fans attending this performance are in for a real treat, as Wallace & Gromit’s creator, Nick Park, and the composer of the Wallace & Gromit scores, Julian Nott, will also be taking part in a question and answer session as part of this event.

If you don’t have your ticket yet, then what are you waiting for? Head over to Carrot Productions as soon as possible for a full list of dates and venues and get booked up!
